Help Us with Fund Raising

If you can run, walk, climb, organize, put together a pub quiz night, raffle or jump from an airplane, please get in touch. New fundraising events will allow us to keep our overheads low while supporting the work in Malawi. Please contact sharon@joshuainmalawi.org.uk for further information and help.

If you represent a school and would like to run an event to help support our education programmes, please contact baz@joshuainmalawi.org.uk

Working in Africa

Our Partners

Joshua is not a volunteering organisation; our skills are in development and environmental work. It is for that reason that we have teamed up with Quest for GAP year volunteers and Inspire Worldwide for School, Corporate and Teacher Groups. Both Quest and Inspire Worldwide are professional volunteering companies who share the same ethics and values as us and who can provide the support to help volunteers of all ages and experience. Both Quest and Inspire Worldwide provide team leaders who work with volunteers and make sure they are having a great time, whilst also ensuring the project is run in line with what the community need. Working with these specialist volunteering organisations has meant we are able to spend more time in the field and more time with the volunteers ensuring that they and the community are both benefiting from the partnership.

Quest - GAP Year Expeditions for Individuals

Quest have been sending volunteer teams to Africa since 1998 and last year were awarded Highly Commended in the Virgin Holiday's Responsible Tourism award for best Responsible Volunteering Organisation 2007. All the contributions that volunteers make go directly to Joshua. They, like us, have a strong health and safety ethic and that means we do not ask volunteers to do dangerous things or work in a dangerous fashion.
